ANIMAL CHAOS IN SOL DE MALLORCA, CALVIA

 Once again a sad story of animal love going off the rails! This time we received a call from a German resident living in Sol de Mallorca in January 2012 about her neighbour, an unemployed Spanish woman who was totally overwhelmed with the responsibility of taking care of the many animals she had 'rescued'. One of our members, Miriam, went over to meet the caller, Monika V., and her neighbour. Miriam and Monika arranged for the help of Marek K. to repair the runs and huts that the animals were housed in, and sent regular food and water every week to lighten the financial load. Monika also arranged for the castration of ten of the wildcats living there. |

| Garden Centre Dogs need your help! | |
 Their parents are guard dogs at a garden centre, of course they were taken from one of the dog pounds without a thought about castration and of course along came nine puppies a year ago. Nobody wanted them and so three were chosen to stay for the three children of the garden cent re owner and the rest were taken to the Perrera at Lluchmajor. Now one year on it seems the owner only wants to keep one of them - the male - and the two females, now one year old are going along the same road as the previous little puppies, their siblings, to the Perrera in Lluchmajor. The difference being that it is much easier to find homes for puppies than for fully grown dogs. So their chances of escaping death at the Perrara are very small. If you can find it in your heart to save one of these sweeties, from certain death, please get in touch with us now! |

| Puppy with health problems | |
 Dana is five months old and has health problems. This poor little mite was born with internal malformation and only has one kidney. She has been, thanks to a caring sponsor, operated on in the specialist clinic in Palma. Now we are desperately looking for a loving foster home where changing nappies is not a problem! Barney is a lovely Breton and around three years old. Happily we rescued him from the Perrera in Andratz on his 'last day'. He is a real sweetie, he loves people contact and gets on very well with other dogs. He has now been castrated and was tested negative for Leischmaniosis. See more........ |

Feliz Animal Andratx is a 'non profit' animal rescue group and completely self-funded. We are a group of animal lovers who have made it our job to care for, rehome, and rescue abandoned and abused animals in the vicinity of Andratx and Calvia, on the island of Mallorca.
All animals coming into our care are given a complete check-up by a Vet, as well as being tested for the most common diseases. They are then given vaccinations and their own passport.
We also arrange for any sick or injured animals to be cared for, initially by a Vet, including any operations they may need, and then nursed, if necessary, before fostering and re-homing or in the case of feral cats, setting free, as well as castration or spaying, and vaccinating.
